Born in Uzbekistan, Tami moved to New Zealand at a young age. During her first year of primary school, the language barrier made it difficult to communicate and connect with others, she found that expressing herself visually came much more naturally. Drawing became a source of comfort and a way of expressing what words couldn’t. As she grew, her art grew alongside her, sprouting from a seed of communication into a deeply rooted part of her identity.

She decided to pursue tattooing after spending a few years Bartending and studying animation at yoobie. She found tattooing perfectly covers all her artistic needs, she loves the creative freedom and the connections and friendship that form through it.
