As a third culture kid with Chinese heritage, Carney longed to belong to something during his youth, and upon discovering the art of tattooing, he realised his search was over. Carney primarily works in a dark and illustrative style, influenced by his voracious hunger of the arts. Carney loves the work of H.R. Giger, Hieronymus Bosch, Beksinski, Yoshitaka Amano, Ayami Kojima, Frank Frazetta and many others.

Upon his own admission, Carney likes to talk a little too much, play only parts of video games and then forget to continue, pose as an intellectual by reading philosophy and also he likes to keep active.
